State Championships

The Basketball Queensland State Championships are the premier representative basketball event available to junior players across Queensland. A Medium-Length Tournament format, each event consists of 4-5 days of competition with teams competing in U12 through to U18s across multiple divisions. 
 

The State Championships is another opportunity in the CAPITALS PLAYER PATHWAY for players and coaches to develop their basketball career with the potential to be identified for entry into the BQ High Performance Program. The events are also a major development forum for our aspiring Queensland junior referees.

• U18 State Championships - Boys & Girls combined event (Summer Holidays - usually early January)
• U16 State Championships - Boys & Girls separate events (Easter Holidays)
• U14 State Championships - Boys & Girls separate events (Winter Holidays))
• U12 State Championships - Boys & Girls either combined or separate events (Spring Holidays)
