SQJBC

Brisbane Capitals provide a competitive competition pathway for developing and elite junior players to represent Brisbane Basketball.

The South Queensland Junior Basketball Competition (SQJBC, formerly known as BQJBC) is a representative competition conducted in the south-east region of Queensland; north to the Sunshine Coast, south to the Gold Coast, and west to Toowoomba. Depending on the age group, the SQJBC may have up to 5 divisions (or leagues) with teams finishing at the top of each league able to challenge to progress up a division at the conclusion of the season.

Brisbane Capitals enter GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE teams to represent each age group (U12 - U18) for both boys and girls. Each age group competes during a school term (see below) with the competition format of 7x double-header weekends (usually a Sunday) across South East Queensland. These teams go on to represent Brisbane Capitals at State Championships.

  • Under 16 SQJBC: Term 1
